Oil & Gas

The US EPA has determined that leaking equipment, such as valves, pumps, and connectors, are the largest source of emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and volatile hazardous air pollutants (VHAPs) from petroleum refineries and chemical manufacturing facilities.

To reduce those leaks the Oil & Gas industry can use our portable OGI camera GasViewer GV-P-3234 to implement an LDAR program or ask us to provide our LDAR service.
• Our fixed camera GasViewer GV-F-3234 can be installed to continuously monitor potential leaks in vast areas and thus to increase site safety.
• Our Flame detection camera FlamViewer FV-F-17 can monitor potential fire in large areas, including H2 and methanol fire.

And our oil spill detector OilViewer can monitor the plant water for contamination before it is released off site.

Biogas plant

Detecting every methane leak in a Biogas plant is very important because any quantity of gas going to the atmosphere is lost revenue, since it is not injected in the gas network or used to produce electricity. Reducing gas emission is also important to continue considering this industry as “green”.

Our portable OGI camera GasViewer GV-P-3234 can help you detect your emissions in order to repair them, either as a purchase, or as a service provided by us (LDAR). It can also be used at plant start-up to make sure all the equipment is as tight as it should be.

Fixed cameras GasViewer GV-F-714 or GV-F-3234 can be installed on a temporary basis (long term gas detection) to monitor the digestor vents on the long term.

Tank farms

Due to the quantity of material hold in each tank, a potential leak from a vent or from a floating roof seal can quickly become huge… and catastrophic if hit by lightning.
Tank farms are the best location to use our OGI fixed camera GasViewer GV-F-714 or GV-F-3234 due to the size of the area to be monitored. We can provide you with a full turnkey solution including solar panel power supply and wireless data transmission to avoid digging tranches in such large areas, from the cameras to the control room.
Should you decide to monitor only the potential fire, then our FlamViewer FV-F-17 could help you to detect a 1 m2 fire up to 2 km away.

Electrical

SF6 is used in this industry as insulation gas in high voltage circuit breakers. But SF6 is very dangerous for the ozone layer, every kilogram of emitted SF6 has the same impact on global warming than 22 800 kg of CO2 and its life span in the atmosphere reaches 3200 years vs 100 for the CO2. To reduce its footprint, we can help you detect it with our portable OGI camera GasViewer GV-P-714, for purchase or as service (LDAR) or installed a fixed camera GasViewer GV-F-714 or GV-F-3234.

Pipeline

For gas transport companies, it is important that the quantity of gas injected into the network be the same at the delivery point. Any gas going to the atmosphere is a loss of revenue and increase the company carbon footprint.
In addition, the gas transportation network includes compression and distribution stations where the pressure and the flow are so high that any minor leak can potentially become a hazard.
Our OGI portable camera GasViewer GV-P-3234 can help reduce the fugitive emission and our fixed camera GasViewer GV-F-3234 can monitor full compression stations for “big” leaks and send the information to a centralized control room when monitoring unmanned stations.

LNG

The LNG industry is growing every year. Emission sources in an LNG can come from the liquefaction process up to the regasification, going through storage, boat loading and unloading, shipping…
At all these steps, GasViewer portable camera GV-P-3234 can help you detect fugitive emissions. And our GasViewer fixed camera GV-F-3234 or GV-F-714 can monitor all your equipment including storage tanks, pumps, loading and unloading arms, compressors…. To decrease your emissions, increase your revenue and make your sites safer.

Landfill

When organic materials like food waste and paper decompose in a landfill, they produce gases that are (very roughly) half methane and half carbon dioxide. Uncontrolled, this gas seeps out of the landfill over time.
Both methane and carbon dioxide are greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming. Landfill gas is the third largest source of methane emitted in the United States (after natural gas production and gassy cows). And methane has 21 times the warming impact of CO2.

It would therefore be beneficial to landfill owners and operators to identify the main leakage zones easily using GasViewer Portable GV-P-3234 and fixed gas detection camera GV-F-3234 or GV-F-714 and then to focus on monitoring and management efforts.

Leakage of this gas from landfills can impact on the environment through risks of fire or explosion, therefore our FlamViewer FV-F-17 can monitor vast landfill areas to detect underground dormant fire even before they breakout in the open air.

Others

Multiple industries are also using gases that can be detected with our cameras.
Using them to detect your leaks can help you reduce your losses (in case of expensive gases emissions) and increase safety (in case of toxic gases emission)…

• Food industry
Use of hexane to extract vegetable oil from seeds, refrigerant gases for storage cooling…
• Pharmaceutical and cosmetics
Use of specific gases as thruster in medical and cosmetics sprays.
• Fertilizer plant
The toxic ammonia being a by-product of the fertilizer plant.
• Transportation
Increase use of CNG.
